Influence of Temperature and Water Content on the Viscosity of some Oil Types

Abstract:

This paper presents results of the studies concerning the influence of temperature and reservoir water content on the viscosity of oil. Eexperiments using five types of oil originating from various areas of Romania were made . We evaluated their dynamic viscosity by using currently available empirical models. When comparing the values obtained, large discrepancies are observed. Thus, for proper high precision design computations, we recommend additional direct measuring of this physical property of oil.
