A METHOD FOR THE CALCULUS OF TEMPERATURE VARIATION ON THE DEPTH OF A SCREW CHANNEL DURING THE EXTRUSION OF POLYMERIC MATERIALS In a previous paper <1> there were obtained the relations permitting the calculus of the temperature variation on the depth of an extruder screw’s channel. In this paper it is shown how to calculate some of the parameters comprised in the previous stated relations and is developed an adequate calculus method for the temperature profile on the channel’s depth, in two variants, one simple and one more elaborated. It is also proposed a way to verify the acceptance of the obtained temperature’s profile, introducing the term of safety coefficient related to the degradation’s temperature of the processed polymer. Calculus examples permitted to emphasize the great importance of the temperature growth due to the viscous friction, and in this context, the influence of the screw’s speed and of the rheological constants of the power low on the temperature profile on the depth of the channel’s screw.
